Iranian President Pezeshkian Travels to New York for UN General Assembly

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has travelled to New York to attend the 81st United Nations General Assembly. According to the Iranian Presidency, Pezeshkian and his accompanying delegation arrived in New York following a flight from Tehran.

Pezeshkian is scheduled to address the UN General Assembly on Wednesday. The Iranian president is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with other world leaders in New York and take part in various diplomatic engagements.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also arrived in New York ahead of the General Assembly meetings and has begun diplomatic talks. No meeting between Pezeshkian and U.S. President Donald Trump is planned.
